Wanamaker Street Fair / Old Settler's Days & Classic Car Show

We, the Indy-Franklin Township Lions Club, welcome you to the south east corner of Indianapolis, where small town friendliness meets big city amenities. As hosts of the annual Wanamaker Street Fair and now Classic Car Show, we hope you'll really enjoy your day in Downtown Wanamaker. The Street Fair in Wanamaker is a 30+ year tradition that has been managed by a number of community service organizations, including, as of 2004, the Franklin Township Lions Club. Historically speaking, the fair may go back much further than 30 years, as it has been noted that the Marion County 4-H Fair was a Wanamaker affair before it became a county wide 4-H event (original 4-H fairgrounds at the west end of Wanamaker - CVS now sits on the corner of the former grounds).

Lion Tom Potts, Sr. took the helm of our inaugural event, with much help and input from former managers Julia Dunkman and Jim Trimble (borrowed from the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce).

Our Lions Club plans to continue the successes of the last years and those previously organized by Julia & Jim, including the date (falling on June 28, '20) and time (9a - 4p), the types and varieties of vendors, even the very popular Classic Car Show.

Everything you need is (or soon will be) here to prepare you for your day in our town - and MANY thanks to our booth vendors (their donated $75 per space fees cover our 4-figure costs in hosting the show, then pay for support of our local schools and libraries {income from the car show helps, too}, and our scholarships, and camp for physically challenged, and...). Vendors, as noted elsewhere, due to these costs and needed dollars, we can't offer refunds unless WE cancel the show - THANK YOU!
