Apparently, nothing has been said about what killed her however, she died most likely from old age. Margaret’s autopsy report which is said to be released soon might also help solve the mystery surrounding her death.
In a Facebook post, Larry Karaszewski, a co-producer, and co-screenwriter on the 2014 film (Big Eyes) starring Amy Adams as Keane paid tribute. Moreover, most of her fans have also taken the media platforms to express their condolences to the legend.
Keane concentrated on people’s eyes and focused her work on them after suffering from ear problems and hearing loss as a child. Her paintings became popular in the early 60s, but her second husband, Walter, claimed credit for them.
The nonagenarian is said to have declared herself an artist in 1970, and a paint-off was scheduled for San Francisco, however, her lover Walter did not attend.
